Jodie Foster stars as psychiatrist, Lilian Steiner, in this gloriously witty and suspenseful, French detective thriller, from multi-award-winning director, Rebecca Zlotowski. When her patient, Paula Cohen, unexpectedly commits suicide, Lilian is accused of overprescribing antidepressants by the widower, Simon. Suspecting there is more to the case than meets the eye, she tries to uncover the truth, assisted by a hypnotist whose methods she despises, and her charming ophthalmologist ex-husband, who is eager for a rapprochement with his ex-wife. Intriguing and entertaining, Zlotowski’s latest movie is a tongue-in-cheek tale with delightful performances from Jodie Foster — speaking impeccable French — and a top-notch cast.
